<p>Candidates from Karnataka secured 255 of the top 1,000 ranks in the undergraduate entrance test for admission to engineering courses conducted by the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (Comed-K).</p>.<p>The results of Comed-K UGET were announced on Monday and candidates can get their rank cards using the applicant login by visiting the official website - www.comedk.org.</p>.<p>Amit Kumar from Uttar Pradesh has topped the country by scoring 169 out of 180 marks. Interestingly, both first and second ranks have been bagged by students from Uttar Pradesh. Akshay Kumar from the same state has secured second rank with the score of 168.</p>.<p>Of the first 100 ranks, 37 have been bagged by students from Karnataka. Out of the top 20 rank-holders, seven are from Karnataka.</p>.<p>The test is a gateway for admission to undergraduate engineering courses in private colleges of Karnataka. Comed-K UGET 2019 was conducted on May 12 at 248 centres in 133 cities across the country.</p>.<p>As per the official communication from Comed-K,out of 69,233 students who enrolled for the test, 58,085 appeared and 17,012 of them were from Karnataka.</p>.<p>Out of the first 10 tanks only one girl has secured eight rank while the remaining are bagged by boys.</p>
