<p class="bodytext">The Mulki Congress unit will support the bandh call given by the Mulki Abhivridhi Nagarika Samithi on February 5, opposing Hejamady toll, said former minister K Abhayachandra Jain.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He said, “The bandh has been called to oppose the inconvenience to the residents. A peaceful bandh should be observed without causing inconvenience to anyone.”</p>.<p class="bodytext">Jain said, “When there was a proposal for the construction of a Mulki bypass, I had made an honest effort to suspend the proposal after holding talks with then Union minister Oscar Fernandes. The local vehicles should be exempted from toll collection. Those who are in power should ensure that the local vehicles get exemption from paying the toll.”</p>.<p class="bodytext">Mulki Block Congress President Dhananjay Mattu said the incomplete work on the highway should be completed.</p>
