<p class="title">Taking a cue from Mangaluru City police, the Dakshina Kannada district police launched their own all-women force— Rani Abbakka Pade— at B C Road in Bantwal on Monday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of Police Lakshmi Prasad flagged off the all-women force.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Two teams of Rani Abbakka Pade will be deployed in each taluk. Each team will have six women police personnel. Police Circle Inspector will supervise and Assistant Police Superintendent will guide the taluk-level team.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Members sporting navy blue T-shirt, Dongri pant, commando shoe and a cap, will be patrolling in public places in Rani Abbakka Pade vehicle.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The force members will patrol areas where there are educational institutions and PG hostels, including in Puttur and Bantwal.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The personnel of the force will also patrol public areas where women are susceptible to stalking, harassment and chain-snatching, especially at bus stands, railway stations, parks, temples, markets and tourist places.</p>
