<p class="title">The government would soon issue guidelines on preparation and distribution of prasada at religious places, after consultation with Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, Muzrai Minister P T Parmeshwar Naik said on Sunday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">This follows repeated untoward incidents related to consumption of prasada being reported in the state, the minister said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Naik also referred to the recent incident of food poisoning after prasada was served at a temple in Chikkaballapur district, which claimed two lives and left several others critically ill.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Measures would be taken to ensure that such incidents do not recur, Naik said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Temples had been categorised into A, B and C groups, based on their income, the minister said. The government was contemplating towards utilising the income for the development of temples in group C. It would come out with a Bill in this connection, he said.</p>
