<p>The Karnataka Power Corporation Limited (KPCL) has set a new record by generating 121.708 million units (MU) on Saturday. Further, out of the record output, a total of 80.253 MU were generated by the thermal power corporations.</p>.<p>According to an official release by the KPCL, the previous record for the highest generation of power March 25 (total generation of 117.22 MU out of which 77.329 MU was from the thermal units).</p>.<p>"The performance of all units at the Raichur Thermal Power Station (RTPS) that was commissioned 30-years ago is excellent resulting in the achievement of PLF (peak load factor) above 95 per cent,” the release said. Currently, the KPCL is catering to 55 to 60% of the state’s power demand during this peak summer.</p>
