<p>An elaborate 11-day ceremony will mark the inauguration of the golden roof of Sri Krishna Temple from May 31 to June 10. The work of the golden roof, an ambitious project of Paryaya Palimaru pontiff Vidyadheesha Theertha, has been taken up at a total cost of Rs 32 crore. Under the project, 100 kilograms of gold plates will cover the roof of the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.</p>.<p>The Paryaya seer had dreamt that the golden roof in the sanctum sanctorum will replicate the opulence of Dwaraka, Lord Krishna’s abode. Sources in the temple said that ‘Prathishta’ ritual will be held on June 6.</p>.<p>Brahmakalashabhisheka ritual will be held on June 9. A grand procession of devotees is being planned from Jodukatte to Sri Krishna temple on June 1.</p>.<p>The three ‘Kalashas’ (the pinnacle of the temple) will be taken out during the procession on June 1.</p>.<p>Shreesha Bhat, the temple’s public relations officer, said that the inauguration of the golden roof has been planned on June 6 and the Brahmakalashothsava on June 9. Many dignitaries will participate in the programmes, he added.</p>
