<p class="title">Even though the work on Balamuri-Vatekadu-Hoddur road development is in the final stage, Hodavada Road is being neglected, alleged the local residents.</p>.<p class="bodytext">They accused the officials of succumbing to the pressure of influential people.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Visiting the area of road development, Gram Panchayat former member Muhammed Shafi P A, leaders Aboobakar B S, Ahmed P U, Yusuf Hazi K A, Rafique K U, Majid Pallikkare and Muhammed Sinan condemned the officials for neglecting Hodavada Road.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Muhammed Shafi said that the road repair has been shelved owing to political reasons. Only Hodavada Road is left out of asphalting and the area comprises members of the minority community in large numbers.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Hodavada Road is completely worn out. The villagers, students and the elderly are facing huge inconvenience due to the pathetic condition of the road. It is impossible to commute on the road. The inefficiency of the administration is condemned, he said.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The former GP member urged authorities not to approve the bill till the work on Hodavada Road is done.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The officials should conduct a spot visit, he said and warned of conducting protests through roadblocks, if the injustice to the villagers is not rectified.</p>
