<p>For the first time in the state, the long-pending demand for a Construction and Demolition Waste Recycling Plant will be a reality soon in the city. The upcoming plant will be a solution to the menace of indiscriminate dumping of construction waste and debris by the roadsides and vacant lands across the city.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Thus, the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC), which accords importance to cleanliness to uphold the cultural beauty of the city of palaces, has notified and reserved 5 acres and guntas of land (under survey no 147 and 152) in Nachanahalli Kuppaluru village, for dumping of construction debris and demolition waste.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The MCC has sent a proposal to the government in this regard. According to MCC officials, a private company, Infrastructure Leasing & Financial Services (IL and FS), has come forward to start the Construction & Demolition Waste Recycling Plant. Once the government approves the proposal, the plant will start functioning.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The MCC has issued a notice, stating that the people should dump construction debris only in the place reserved for the purpose. If it is violated, the MCC will slap a fine of Rs 5,000 on the building and vehicle owners, besides filing a criminal case against them.</p>
