<p>Primary and Secondary Education Minister N Mahesh on Friday told the Legislative Council that he would re-examine the circular issued by his department with regard to recruitment of teachers in aided schools.</p>.<p>Mahesh was replying to S V Sankanur (BJP) during the calling attention motion. Sankanur demanded that the government relax the condition it had introduced in a circular issued on June 26, 2017.</p>.<p>The circular stipulates that schools cannot recruit teachers if their SSLC results for the last five years is lesser than that of the district average.</p>.<p>Member S L Bhoje Gowda, K T Srikantegowda, Sharanappa Mattur and Ivan D’Souza too demanded that the government withdraw the circular.</p>.<p>Pro tem Chairman Basavaraj Horatti too urged the government to withdraw the circular.</p>.<p>The minister said that he seek expert opinion, before taking a call on the matter.</p>
