<p>Mumbai: In a shocking incident, a girl fell into a 150-feet deep gorge while clicking photographs and taking a selfie at Borne Ghat in the Satara district of <a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/india/maharashtra">Maharashtra</a>.</p><p>A rescue team of adventurers and mountaineers saved the girl. </p><p>She was part of an eight-member team of boys and girls from Pune, who were trekking in the region.</p>.Woman plunges to death after falling into gorge while reversing car in Maharashtra.<p>They wanted to go to the Thoseghar waterfall, however, because of rains that area was prohibited and instead the group went to the Borne Ghat.</p><p>A video, that has gone viral on social media platforms, shows locals throwing a thick rope down the gorge, with a man descending to lift the woman to safety.</p><p>The lady, who was visibly shattered and appeared to be in pain, was brought up and taken to a local hospital. </p><p>The rescue effort was led by HomeGuard Abhijeet Mandave.</p><p>The incident comes close on the heels of last month’s death of travel influencer Aanvi Kamdar (26) who died after falling into a 300-plus feet gorge while shooting a Reel at Kumbhe waterfall near Raigad in Maharashtra. </p>
