<p>The Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in Rajasthan is likely to offer a job to the survivor of the alleged Alwar gang rape case. </p>.<p>According to sources, the Rajasthan government has decided to offer the job of a police constable to her and has also started the formalities for the same. "We are in a process to offer her a regular job in the police department but the decision will be taken after the code of conduct is over", a senior police official told <em>DH</em>.</p>.<p>She had recently expressed the desire to join police services to deal with those who commit heinous crimes like gang-rape. </p>.<p>The Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot who is also the home minister received criticism especially after Prime Minister Narendra Modi claimed that the police deliberately delayed filing a First Information Report in the case because of the ongoing parliamentary elections. Recently Congress President Rahul Gandhi visited the home of the victim and said it's an emotional issue for him rather than a political issue.</p>.<p>The woman was allegedly raped by five men in front of her husband in Alwar district on April 26 at around 3 pm when she was travelling to Rajasthan's Talvriksha from her village Lalwadi, accompanied by her husband on a motorcycle. The complaint was registered on April 30. An FIR was registered on May 2 under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the SC/ST Act.</p>.<p>According to the complaint lodged by the victim's family, "the husband was beaten by two persons while the remaining three gang-raped her." The accused reportedly shot the entire act on their cell phones and threatened to post it on social media in order to silence the couple.</p>.<p>However soon after the protests took place, the Rajasthan government launched a speedy investigation, arrested and booked all six accused under various sections of IPC within two days. The Rajasthan government also suspended Alwar SP Rajiv Pachar.</p>.<p>The SHO of the Thanagazi police station Sardar Singh was also suspended and four policemen were shunted out. The state government has released an interim relief of Rs 4.12 lakh for the victim as per the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.</p>.<p>Gehlot assured that police would investigate this case and all other rape cases under priority by appointing a nodal officer in each district to monitor crime against women.</p>
