<p>V K Sasikala, currently serving four-year term at the Parapana Agrahara prison in Bengaluru, is no longer a member of the AIADMK since she has not renewed her membership, deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam said here on Thursday.</p>.<p>He was speaking at a party event to announce that 1.10 crore have either renewed their membership or enrolled to be part of the AIADMK. The figure is 40 lakhs less than what it was during J Jayalalithaa’s tenure as general secretary.</p>.<p>Though Sasikala, close aide of Jayalalithaa, was removed from the post of “interim” general secretary” in September last year, she continued to remain a primary member of the AIADMK since the general council decided not to revoke any decision taken by Jayalalithaa.</p>.<p>“She is not a member of the AIADMK since she has not renewed her membership,” Panneerselvam, the AIADMK coordinator, said, adding that enrolment of 1.10 crore members in about "90 days is a historic achievement."</p>.<p>His comments assume significance in the wake of Sasikala’s nephew T T V Dhinakaran launching all-round attack against him.</p>
