That was an exhilarating IPL 2021 auction. Chris Morris became the most expensive player ever in the history of IPL auction, bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 16.25 crore. Kyle Jamieson was close on his heels and was eventually bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for Rs 15 crore. Uncapped Krishnappa Gowtham fetched a mammoth sum of Rs 9.25 crore from Chennai Super Kings. Glenn Maxwell, despite a disappointing last season, was picked by Royal Challengers Bangalore for a whopping Rs 14.25 crore. Punjab Kings pulled off a surprise by buying Australian pacer Jhye Richardson for Rs 14 crore.
