Assembly Elections 2024 Highlights | Congress leader alleges poll code violation by CM Eknath Shinde
This blog is now closed. These were the highlights on Wednesday. A voter turnout of 45.53% was recorded till 3 pm on Wednesday in Maharashtra, where polling is under way in all 288 assembly constituencies, election officials said. Polling began at 7 am in the state assembly elections, where the ruling BJP-led Mahayuti alliance is vying to retain power and the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) combine is hoping for a strong comeback. Voting will continue till 6 pm. Meanwhile, In the second and final phase of polling in Jharkhand, nearly 61.47% of around 1.23 crore voters exercised their franchise on Wednesday in 38 assembly constituencies. Congress leader files complaint against Maharashtra CM Shinde, alleges poll code violation
Khan’s chief polling agent Ganesh Chavan filed the complaint with Kalpana Ghode, the returning officer of Chandivali assembly constituency. A copy of the complaint letter has also been sent to Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar.
