'Motorists should always carry original documents'

The motorists should be in possession of original documents while driving. Fine will be slapped on motorists who produce photocopies of the documents during police verification, Mangaluru Commissioner of Police Dr P S Harsha warned on Friday.

Mangaluru Commissioner of Police Dr P S Harsha said the Mangaluru police had invoked section 198 A under Indian Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act citing defect in road engineering leading to death of a motorist in Kavoor Police Station limits.
