PMAY: MCC to give Rs 60 lakh, 20 acres to forest dept

Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has decided to pay Rs 60 lakh for taking up compensatory afforestation and to seek permission for the felling of trees on the land identified for urban housing project, from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF).
