<p>Colombo: Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena resigned from his post on Monday as part of a power transition in the country following the presidential election won by Anura Kumara Dissanayake.</p>.<p>The resignation came ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of Dissanayake.
