The fight for the Andhra Pradesh Assembly is going to be a three-horse race. Firstly, there is the incumbent YSRCP government, with Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at the helm. The fierce challengers are the NDA, comprising of the BJP, the Telegu Desam Party (TDP), led by former CM N Chandrababu Naidu, and the Jana Sena Party (JSP), led by actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan. The final player in the mix is the I.N.D.I.A. bloc, with Congress at the forefront.
The YSRCP came into power after winning the 2019 Andhra Assembly polls by a huge margin, amassing as many as 155 out of the 175 assembly seats. While the TDP could manage to secure only 23 seats, both the BJP and the Congress failed to open their account.
This time, however, the story might be entirely different. Most exit polls have tipped the NDA government to come back to power, especially bolstered by a resurgence of the TDP. But as we all know, exit polls have often gone off the mark in the past in this country. The YSRCP will certainly be hoping for something similar.
YSRCP has alleged that a "controversial police officer" was put in charge of the control room of the police headquarters. They also accused the TDP of "inciting riots", knowing "inevitable defeat".
According to latest initial trends, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is currently ahead in four Assembly constituencies out of the total 175 segments in Andhra Pradesh. G Butchayya Chowdary, the candidate for Rajamundry Rural Assembly, is currently in the lead against YSRCP leader and minister C Srinivas.

According to the Election Commission of India, Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP is currently leading in 98 constituencies in the Andhra Pradesh assembly, giving a major boost to the NDA.
TDP members and supporters are coming out in the streets to burst firecrackers as the NDA surge away ahead of YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh assembly poll results.
Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan is currently leading by more than 29,000 votes from the Pithapuram constituency, with YSRCP candidate Geetha Viswanath in the second spot, as per EC.
As per latest data by the Election Commission, TDP is leading in 130 assembly seats, JSP in 20, and BJP in 7. The NDA are on their way to establish a clear majority, as YSRCP are currently ahead in only 17 seats.
