BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa on Thursday said Independent candidate Sumalatha’s victory in Mandya parliamentary constituency was imminent and that all the rebel Congress leaders have worked in her favour.
"Sumalatha will win the election in Mandya. The rebel Congress leaders worked for her. Hence, they all held a dinner meeting in Bengaluru on Tuesday. A lot of changes are expected in the state politics after May 23," he said.
The BJP leader also said what Higher Education Minister G T Deve Gowda said on Wednesday in Mysuru was true. The JD(S) workers have voted for BJP candidate Pratap Simha in Mysuru-Kodagu parliamentary constituency. The party will win comfortably, he added.
