Mumbai: A day after the mega rally of the Maha Vikas Aghadi, which was attended by Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, the grand old party is now planning to hold multiple rallies across Maharashtra in the run up to the elections.

Kharge will be on a five-day visit to Maharashtra and his meetings will be held in various parts of the state from November 13 to 18. Rahul Gandhi will also be holding campaign meetings in the state between November 12 and 16. Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, who is also contesting Wayanad bypoll, will address campaign meetings on November 13, 16 and 17 November.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will also address rallies.

The manifesto of Maha Vikas Aghadi will be released on November 10 in the presence of Kharge at Hotel Grand Hyatt, AICC general secretary Ramesh Chennithala said.

Modi to address more than 10 rallies

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address rallies in Dhule and Nashik districts of North Maharashtra on Friday - marking his first visit to the state after the nominations drew to a close for the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly polls.

Modi is expected to address around 10-plus rallies between November 8-14. Union Home Minister and BJP’s chief strategist Amit Shah and Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari too would address several rallies.

Assembly Elections 2024 | The Maharashtra Assembly polls will take place against the backdrop of a fractured political landscape in the western state where the Shiv Sena and NCP will be going up against the Uddhav Thackeray and Sharad Pawar factions, even as the BJP and Congress try to make their mark. Meanwhile, in Jharkhand, the JMM faces a new challenge after Hemant Soren's recent arrest and Champai, a longstanding party member, joining the BJP. The Haryana election resulted in a shock loss for Congress, which was looking to galvanize on the Lok Sabha poll performance, while J&K also saw the grand old party eventually stepping away from the cabinet, with Omar Abdullah's JKNC forming government. It remains to be seen if the upcoming polls help BJP cement its position further or provide a fillip to I.N.D.I.A.
