BJP's Bhavya Bishnoi on Sunday won theAdampurassembly segment by defeating his nearest rival and Congress candidate Jai Prakash by a margin of around 16,000 votes.
The final victory margin is yet to be declared, said an official. Counting of votes for the bypoll toAdampurbegan at 8 am amid tight security arrangements.

The NOTA votes are the votes which the BJP would have received if they would have contested, perhaps that's the reason that withdrew their candidate,Rutuja Latke said.

Gola Gokarannath seat: BJP candidate defeats SP rival
BJP candidate Aman Giri won the Gola Gokarannath assembly bypolls on Sunday by defeating his nearest rival and Samajwadi Party candidate by over 34,000 votes, a senior official said.
The final votes are being computed, the official said. After winning the elections, Giri said he would fulfil the dream of his father Arvind Giri and ensure development of the constituency.
He also thanked Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for promising to develop Gola as 'Chhota Kashi' Till the 29th round of counting, Giri had got 1,14,444 votes while Samajwadi Party's Vinay Tiwari got 81,682 votes, they said.
RJD retains Mokama assembly seat in Bihar
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Sunday retained the Mokama assembly seat in Bihar in a by-poll necessitated by the disqualification of its MLA Anant Kumar Singh, an Election Commission.
Singh's wife Neelam Devi, who was the party's candidate, defeated her nearest BJP rival by a comfortable margin of more than 16,000 votes.
She polled 79,744 votes, while BJP's Sonam Devi got 63,003. Singh got disqualified in July this year after conviction by a Patna court in a case related to recovery of arms and explosives from his residence.

Adampur bypoll: BJP's Bhavya Bishnoi leading by margin of 6,235 votes
BJP candidate Bhavya Bishnoi is leading by a margin of 6,235 votes over his nearest rival and Congress candidate Jai Prakash in Adampur assembly after initials rounds of vote counting on Sunday.
According to initial trends, BJP's Bhavya has polled 17,633 votes while the Congress's Prakash got 11,398 votes. INLD candidate Kurda Ram Nambardar secured 740 votes while the AAP's Satender Singh polled 380 votes, according to the initial trends.
In the bypoll for the Adampur assembly segment in Hisar which was held on November 3, a turnout of 76.45 percent was recorded.
The bypoll was necessitated after former Haryana chief minister Bhajan Lal's younger son Kuldeep Bishnoi resigned as MLA and switched from the Congress to the BJP in August.
The BJP had fielded Bhavya Bishnoi, the grandson of former chief minister Bhajan Lal. Bhavya is the son of Kuldeep Bishnoi.Former Union minister Jai Prakash, a three-time MP from Hisar and two-time MLA was fielded by the Congress.
The INLD had nominated Congress rebel Kurda Ram Nambardar while the AAP had nominated Satender Singh, who switched over from the BJP.
Twenty-two candidates, all men, were in the fray. The main parties contesting the by-election are the BJP, Congress, Indian National Lok Dal, and Aam Aadmi Party.

Gola Gokarannath seat: BJP candidate leading by over 10,000 votes
BJP candidate Aman Giri has taken a comfortable lead of over 10,000 over his nearest rival as counting of votes progressed in the Gola Gokarannath assemblybypollson Sunday.
While Giri got 36,528 votes so far, Samajwadi Party's Vinay Tiwari got 25,621 votes, officials said.
BJP's Suryabanshi Suraj leading with 8,737 votes on Dhamnagar assembly seat. BJD's Abanti Das trailing with 7,358 votes.
Andheri bypolls: Rutuja Latke's vote count stands at 12,094, while NOTA gets 2,092 votes.

Gola Gokarannath seat: BJP candidate ahead in first round of counting
BJP candidate Aman Giri has taken a lead in the initial round of counting of votes on Sunday in the Gola Gokarannath assembly bypolls. While Giri has got 8,943 votes so far, Samajwadi Party's Vinay Tiwari got 5,008 votes, officials said.
Counting started here at 8 am amid tight security arrangements. Returning Officer Anurag Singh said the counting is likely to be held in 32 rounds.The November 3 Gokarannath assembly bypolls recorded a polling percentage of 57.35 per cent. Seven contestants were in the fray.
The bypoll was necessitated due to the death of BJP MLA Arvind Giri on September 6. The BSP and the Congress kept away from the poll this time. The main contest was between BJP's Aman Giri, the son of Arvind Giri, and SP candidate and former Gola Gokarannath MLA Tiwari.
The BJP's campaign was led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Gola Gokarannath is part of Union minister Ajay Mishra's Lakhimpur Kheri parliamentary constituency. Mishra has been in the eye of a storm following the killing of four farmers during violence in October last year. His son is an accused in the case

Bihar bypolls: Counting of votes for two assembly seats under way
Counting of votes for bypolls to Mokama and Gopalganj assembly constituencies in Bihar began at 8 am on Sunday amid tight security arrangements.
A senior election official said that trends will emerge around midday.
Of the 6.10 lakh voters -- Gopalganj (3.31 lakh) and Mokama (2.70 lakh) – 52.3 per cent had exercised their franchise in the two seats on November 3, he said. A total of 619 polling booths were set up in the two constituencies.
Fifteen candidates are in the fray -- nine in Gopalganj and six in Mokama. This is the first electoral face-off between the ruling Grand Alliance (GA) and the opposition BJP in Bihar after the change of government in August this year, when Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's party JD-U snapped ties with the saffron camp and aligned with Lalu Prasad’s RJD-led coalition, comprising Congress and other parties, to form a new government.
The Mokama seat fell vacant following the disqualification of RJD MLA Anant Singh after his conviction in an Arms Act case, while the by-election in Gopalganj was necessitated following the death of sitting BJP MLA Subhash Singh.
BJP leader Kusum Devi, wife of the deceased MLA, is pitted against RJD's Mohan Gupta in Gopalganj. In Mokama, BJP nominee Sonam Devi is up against RJD's Neelam Devi, the wife of Anant Singh.
Mokama has been the stronghold of Anant Singh since 2005. He won the seat twice on JD(U) tickets. Singh fought as an RJD candidate in the 2020 elections and retained the seat. But he was disqualified from the assembly following his conviction in the criminal case.

Counting for Munugodu bypoll to take place today
The BJP is seeking to retain the Gola Gokarannath seat in Uttar Pradesh and Dhamnagar in the BJD-ruled Odisha, banking on sympathy votes as it has fielded the sons of sitting MLAs whose death necessitated the bypolls.
Main contestants TRS, SP and the BJD are taking on the BJP in Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and Odisha respectively are taking on the saffron party.
Among the seven seats which witnessed a stiff contest between the BJP and the regional parties, the saffron party held three and the Congress two, while the Shiv Sena and the RJD had one each.
Counting of votes on seven seats in six states on November 6
Counting of votes will be held on Sunday in the bye-election to seven assembly constituencies in six states including former chief minister Bhajan Lal's family bastion Admapur in Haryana.
Bhajan Lal's grandson Bhavya Bishnoi, who contested on a BJP ticket, and RJD's Neelam Devi, whose husband Anant Singh's disqualification necessitated the bye-election in Bihar's Mokama, are among the prominent candidates in the fray.
