New Delhi: On the final day of the deadline to the Rs 10 crore defamation suit filed by BJP IT Cell Chief Amit Malviya against him, RSS worker from Bengal Santanu Sinha said that in his post, he was not dragging Malviya’s name and was wondering if Malviya too would succumb to a honey trap.

In an earlier post, Singh, who is a relative of BJP leader Rahul Sinha, had alleged that illegal activities were taking place among leaders of the Bengal unit, including the exploitation of women, and he had named Malviya in his post.

On Tuesday, he put up another post, which said that his words were twisted. “It is a great chagrin to me that the nastiest and most corrupted political party of the country, the Indian National Congress, being armed with a post in Bengali posted from my Facebook account, is spreading hate campaign against Mr. Amit Malaviya and the Bharatiya Janata Party, No corner in the post there is any whisper about sexual exploition of women by Mr.Amit Malaviya. Rather I have there expressed my fear if Mr. Malviya will be drawn to honey trap by the unscrupulous leaders of the party to remain clung to their post despite such debacle in the recently held election (sic),” the post read.

Sinha said that the BJP and RSS workers in the state had “bitter experiences” of honey traps earlier, and named other BJP leaders. “Sushri Mamata Banerjee several times threatened to bring out clips of the honey trap. But to my extreme astonishment, none from the State BJP has ever tried to know the purport of the post, but played a dubious role,” he wrote.

Malviya had sent him a legal notice on June 9, a day after the post went up, asking him to respond by Tuesday.
