A voter turnout of nearly 69% per cent was recorded. Samba district in Jammu saw the highest turnout at 73.45 per cent, while Baramulla in Kashmir had the lowest at 55.73 per cent. In a post on X, encouraging people to vote, Union Minister Amit Shah wrote. "Jammu and Kashmir needs a government that is visionary and can take strong decisions for security, peace and stability here. Today, the people voting here in the last phase should use their vote power to form a government that keeps Jammu and Kashmir away from terrorism, separatism, nepotism and corruption and is determined to protect the rights of every section. Cast a historic vote for tourism, education, employment and all-round development in Jammu and Kashmir."

Lucknow: BSP president Mayawati on Tuesday appealed to all voters in Jammu and Kashmir to cast their votes for the third and final phase of the assembly elections "to ensure that the right people are in power".
The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is among the parties contesting the assembly polls being held after almost a decade in Jammu and Kashmir and the first time since abrogation of Article 370.
"An appeal to all voters to vote enthusiastically in the third and final phase of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections being held today, so that in this election being held after a long time, the right people can have a share in power, for which a lot of voting is necessary. First vote, then refreshment," Mayawati posted on X in Hindi.

In a post on X, senior Vice President of NC, Dr Veeri on Tuesday alleged that PDP workers were transporting 80 women in 8 trucks for bogus voting in North Kashmir.
