MLA Raghupathy Bhat, on Thursday, dared Congress-JD(S) coalition candidate Pramod Madhwaraj to clarify which party he will represent in the future.

Bhat told mediapersons that it was quite clear that the former chief minister Siddaramaiah would topple the coalition government soon after the Lok Sabha poll results were announced.

“Against the backdrop of this probable development, the collation candidate who is contesting with the JD(S) symbol should clarify which party he will represent in the future,” he added.

“Pramod must clarify to voters whether he will return to Congress or remain in JD(S)--which does not have a following in the constituency. I predict that Pramod will return to the Congress fold accusing the JD(S) of doing injustice to him. He termed a former minister greedy and power hungry. The complex seat-sharing formula between the coalition partners resulted in the constituency being ceded to JD(S),” he added.

He said that Congress had lost its identity in the region. “Voters, in particular, senior citizens are disappointed with Pramod’s decision. They will now vote for the BJP. Pramod’s defeat is guaranteed,” he declared

He added that voters also would give a befitting reply to the chief minister who accused voters in the coastal region as ‘brainless’.

Responding to allegations by Pramod, Bhat said that BJP does not require RTI activist T J Abraham to help them win the elections. “My party and I don’t know who Abraham is,” he stated.
