Karnataka Congress government launches Gruha Lakshmi scheme

The Karnataka government launched the Gruha Lakshmi scheme today, fulfilling its fourth pre-poll promise. The scheme offers ₹2,000 monthly assistance to women. It will cater to 1.1 crore women heads of households that have APL and BPL cards.
