Launching a scathing attack on the Congress-led Mahagathbandhan, former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said the alliance was formed to further their selfish needs and not to safeguard nation's interests.
Speaking to reporters, Chouhan said, "Narendra Modi-led NDA government has given good governance and is working towards creating new India. Unable to digest Modi's popularity, the Congress and several other parties have formed Mahagathbandhan."
"Rahul Gandhi says the Congress party is with families of martyrs and that it would stand with the government in the fight against cross-border terrorism. But a senior member of his party alleges fixing between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistan counterpart Imran Khan. This shows the dual stand of the Congress party," Chouhan said.
The former chief minister of Madhya Pradesh targeting JD(S) said, "There are no instances of a coalition government with Deve Gowda's party in it completing its full term."
