Many Hindu saints Monday condemned Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi's "not Hindus" jibe at the BJP and demanded an apology from him.
Launching a no-holds-barred attack on the BJP in the Lok Sabha on Monday, Gandhi said the leaders of the BJP are not Hindus as they engage in "violence and hate" round the clock.

Reacting to Gandhi's remarks, Swami Avadheshanand Giri said in a video message, "I condemn him repeated remarks that Hindus are violent, and they create hatred and indulge in violence round the clock."

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has said Congress MP Rahul Gandhi should apologise to the Lok Sabha and crores of Hindus all over the world for his comments on the community.
Gandhi, the leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha, took a swipe at the ruling BJP in the House on Monday, saying those who call themselves Hindus are engaged in "violence and hate" round the clock. Lok Sabha passes Motion of Thanks on the President’s address and adjourns sine die.
The session, which began on June 24, had seven sittings that were spread over 34 hours and the productivity of the House was 103 per cent, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said.
The session saw 539 Lok Sabha members take oath or make affirmation over the first two days.
The debate on the Motion of Thanks lasted for 18 hours, Birla said.
