A woman Congress MLA was on Tuesday evicted from the Tamil Nadu Assembly after heated arguments with Speaker P Dhanapal who condemned her behaviour.
After Dhanapal refused to entertain pleas by Congress floor leader K R Ramasamy to reconsider his decision to evict S Vijayadharani, the MLA from Kanniyakumari district, he led the party members in staging a walkout.
It all began when the Speaker refused to allow Vijayadharani to raise an issue related to her district since she gave the notice very late.
However, the MLA was on her feet insisting that she be allowed to raise the matter and even dared the Speaker to act against her. At this, Dhanapal summoned the marshals and ordered her eviction.
