<p class="bodytext">Here’s a chance for students who have completed class 12 or PUC to get career guidance and the options that lie before them.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The tenth edition of Jnanadegula 2018, ‘Eduverse,’ organised by <span class="italic">DH</span>-PV is all set to take place in the city this weekend.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Students can head here for some career guidance, counselling for engineering courses and more.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The annual event is scheduled to take place at Jayamahal Palace Hotel Grounds in Bengaluru on May 26 and 27. Besides counselling by the officials of the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) on the Common Entrance Test (CET) and the exam by Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (ComedK), this is also an opportunity for students to understand other different emerging career options.</p>.<p class="CrossHead"><strong>Colleges across country</strong></p>.<p class="bodytext">Over 70 colleges and universities from across the country will make their presence felt at the event and representatives from these top institutes will be available at the venue for discussion with students regarding the courses they have to offer. </p>.<p class="bodytext">On May 26, the event will begin with a talk by retired IAS officer M N Vidyashankar at 10 am. He has, in the past worked as Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka, Principal Secretary, Department of e-Governance and the Department of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science and Technology, Government of Karnataka, over a long stint, and worked as Additional Chief Secretary to Government of Karnataka, Commerce and Industries Department.</p>.<p class="bodytext">He is currently working as president, India Electronics and Semiconductor Association, a premier national business-trade body in the electronics and semiconductor space.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Yet another speaker is A S Ravi, who has served as lecturer in various government colleges and worked as academic officer in the Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE).
