<p>Bengaluru: Alleging that the ruling Congress has stopped all pro-farmer schemes launched by the previous BJP government in the state, BJP city units, along with the members of the Raitha Morcha, held a protest at the Freedom Park on Tuesday.</p><p>They also accused the state government of not releasing the milk yield incentive to the dairy farmers in the state.</p><p>After the protest, a delegation of BJP leaders led by the Advocates’ Association, Bengaluru (AAB) president, Vivek Reddy handed over a memorandum to Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot, alleging that the state government was squandering the taxpayers’ money to issue full page advertisement - My Tax My Right - in all leading newspapers, that is aimed at tarnishing the image of the central government by releasing such advertisements. </p><p>The BJP leaders and workers also tried to lay siege to the Vidhana Soudha over the delay in the release of funds. However, they were detained by the city police. </p><p>Participating in the protest here, BJP general secretary P Rajeev said that the ruling Congress is running the government without heart.</p><p>“The Congress has not only ignored the welfare of the people, farmers, but also cattle, by not implementing the Anti-Cow Slaughter Act effectively. By shifting the government veterinary hospitals, it is clear that the state government has completely neglected the cattle and <br>the farmers in the state,” he said.</p><p>“Over 850 farmers committed suicide in the state after the Congress came to power in the state, but it has not made any efforts to prevent them,” he alleged.</p>
