<p class="title">A male elephant calf that had gotten separated from its mother and was found moving around at Chikkabettageri in Anekadu was rescued by the forest department officials. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The male calf was around seven months old. RFO Ananya Kumar and a team rescued the calf and brought it to Anekadu elephant camp. The calf is healthy and is being fed grass, sugarcane, cucumber, banana and water. </p>.<p class="bodytext">The RFO said that the calf does not allow anyone to go near it.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The officials have started searching for the mother elephant in Anekadu and Dubare Reserve Forest.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Normally, the mother starts making a huge sound while searching for her baby. Once we notice such an elephant, the calf will be sent to her, said Ananya Kumar. </p>
