<p>The state government will come up with an industrial policy to encourage exports, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Saturday. </p>.<p>He was speaking at the state export excellent award presentation ceremony, organised by the Visvesvaraya Trade Promotion Centre (VTPC) of the Industries and Commerce department.</p>.<p>The chief minister said the government will strengthen the skill development department, in addition to strengthening industrial development, in an effort to reduce unemployment. </p>.<p>Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, who also took part in the programme, urged entrepreneurs to set up shops in tier 2 and 3 cities.</p>.<p>He assured them that additional incentives would be provided for setting up industries there. This would encourage growth across the state, he expressed the hope.</p>.<p>Large and Medium Industries Minister M B Patil said the government would set up Common Facility Centres to boost the growth of small and medium enterprises in the state. </p>.<p>As many as 68 industries across 12 categories were given excellent export awards. Biocon, HAL, Toyota Kirloskar and GE India Pvt Ltd were among the awardees.</p>
