<p class="title">Karnataka has decided to file an appeal before the Mahadayi Water Disputes Tribunal (MWDT) seeking a review of its August 14 verdict, wherein the state was allotted 13.52 tmc water.</p>.<p class="bodytext">The state will simultaneously file a special leave petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court, against the Tribunal's verdict within the next 15 days, said Water Resource Minister D K Shivakumar on Friday.</p>.<p class="bodytext">Speaking to reporters after a meeting headed by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Mahadayi, Shivakumar said, that there were divergent views expressed by irrigation and legal experts, on whether to file an appeal before the Tribunal, or not.</p>.<p class="bodytext">"However, it was decided that the state should file simultaneous appeals before both the Tribunal and the Supreme Court," he added.</p>
