PG seats: SC refuses to extend counselling deadline
The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a plea by deemed universities and private colleges to grant them time beyond the deadline of May 31 to fill up 603 vacant seats in Post Graduate medical and dental courses, saying the time schedule must be followed otherwise it would open a Pandora's box.

PG medical aspirants challenge H-K quota in SC
A group of MBBS and BDS doctors, who challenged the validity of Karnataka government's March, 2019 order mandating 10-year study criterion for candidates for admission to the post graduate seats in private medical colleges, have now questioned before the Supreme Court the state government's 2013 orders that allowed reservation on the basis of domicile requirement in six districts of Hyderabad-Karnataka region.

Centre nod for seats for state PG students
Medical Education Minister D K Shivakumar said on Saturday that a proposal to allot 50% of PG and 25% of UG medical seats to students from Karnataka in all deemed universities in the state had been agreed to by the Centre.
