<p>In a bid to further enhance the beauty of Himachal Pradesh, Chief Minister Jairam Thakur on August 02 announced that the government will plant over one crore saplings in the state. He also added that Himachal’s forest cover has increased by about 342 sq km.</p>.<p>“We have decided to plant over 1 crore saplings in the state. State forest department has set a target to plant saplings in over 15,000 hectares of land. Due to efforts of the government, forest cover in the state has increased by about 342 sq km,” he said.<br /> </p>
