Assembly Elections 2024 LIVE | BJP releases first list of 99 candidates for Maharashtra polls, Fadnavis to contest from Nagpur South West
The BJP has released its first list of 99 candidates for Maharashtra assembly polls, fields Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis from Nagpur South West. Manoj Jarange-Patil has given two options to his supporters- either contest polls or ensure defeat of others. He also said that he would not personally not contest elections. "Maha Yuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi has not been able to declare candidates, they are waiting and watching us closely", he said. The state will go to polls on November 20. Meanwhile, BJP on Saturday released its first list of 66 candidates for the Jharkhand assembly elections, fielding party president Babulal Marandi from Dhanwar and former chief minister Champai Soren from Saraikela. The party named Sita Soren, the sister-in-law of JMM leader and Chief Minister Hemant Soren, as its nominee from Jamtara. Stay tuned to DH for latest updates related to assembly polls!
