Students from across India are grappling with the aftermath of the cancellation of the UGC-NET exam which was conducted on Tuesday. The news of the cancellation came late in Wednesday night by the Ministry of Education. Addressing a presser, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi lashed out at Centre, saying that the opposition parties will raise exam paper leaks issue in Parliament. Congress will hold nationwide protest on Friday demanding justice for the NEET candidates. On the other hand, Tamil Nadu's politics is keeping everyone on the edge of their seats as AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami rules out admitting expelled leaders V K Sasikala and O Panneerselvam despite their pleas of unification of the factions. India Political Highlights: 'My Hindutva is not 'gaumutradhari', Uddhav Thackeray lashes out at BJP
Uddhav Thackeray earlier today slammed the BJP and Narendra Modi govt at the Centre and said that the party has 'left Hindutva'. 'If saving Constitution and democracy is called Naxalism and terrorism, then yes I am, Thackeray said. Elsewhere, state CM Eknath Shinde also launched an attack at Uddhav, saying that he has left his father's ideals. 'We all know with whose votes the Shiv Sena (UBT) won its seat, Shinde said. Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge earlier in the day wrote to the Lok Sabha speaker and Rajya Sabha chairperson, asking them to shift relocated statues back to their original places at the Parliament. PM Modi visited the ruins of ancient Nalanda, a UNESCO world heritage site, in Rajgir this morning and later inaugurated the new campus of Nalanda University. Meanwhile, Delhi BJP leaders and workers took out protest marches across the national capital over the water crisis in the city, and slammed the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). AAP has also joined the chorus in protesting over the NEET row and called the 'discrepancies' similar to treason.
